nice work on em...but those are not ELBS.

Those are just long bows.  English Long bows do not have a rigid handle.

Tiller looks like too much bending out the fades.

an elb will have a narrow deep limb and is rounded in it's cross section where yours are more like an american flatbow style where the cross section is flat and rectangular. how do they shoot? what are the specs? ie. draw and poundage. nice work. don

Nice job Beyaz!
The other guys are right about the ELB style, but nice bows regardless and I'm glad to see you making some bows.

The one at full draw in the pics I would get a little more bend from mid limb out toward the tips to take some pressure away from the fades so you don't run into a bad hinge later on. Do you have a tillering gizmo? If not, make yourself one because they are priceless when tillering a D shaped longbow and you can nail your tiller perfect just by using the gizmo.

Here's a link to the gizmo and how it works.

hi all again,

i have made some changes on my new NOT ELB bow. i have sorten it. i have asked in one of my thread and shorting it make more power.
rigth now it is 68" but it is 25# @ 30" .
i dont know why it is so low but i can live with it for a while. i will start one more bow (if i can fins a time to) instead of making changes on this one.

hi one more time.
i shorten the limbs and now bow it 72". with this modification it became just above 25#.
then i decided to go further. i have removed denim backing and applied 2 mm beech lam over it. without hemp backing it is know #35 @ 28" it is almost what i desired at the first place.

now, i think i will leave it as it is and do not apply and hemp or backing things.
what do you think about applying one more layer of backing of hemp or something? or do you suggest leave it as it is and make a new one later.  :)

btw: i have used (for this time) epoxy called era4000 (technomarine). glue soaked by the wood nicely so i decided to use a finish material as well.

best.
