Mixed breeds

I have been wondering why no one makes a working handle fiberglass bow.  All are stiff handled.

The recurve style grips don't really appeal to me.  I like the simple style grips of wood bows and the feel of the arrow on my knuckle.  Just enough material to be durable...light in the handle feel of bend in the handle wood short bow.


My main question is are there any draw backs to having a working handle?
