Limb pad question ????

Heres one I just got started and hope to get finished soon.  The rest of my materials should be here tomorrow but its been bad weather so I'll under stand if they don't get here.  I still have plenty to do on this chunk.  Last time I used black phenolic for the backing the limb pads but I was thinking about .040 black glass.  Will it be strong enough for a 65 pounder or do I need to back the limb pads?  I would think so.
