I found what I think is a white mulberry in an overgrown fencerow last summer. The bark looked like a red mulberry but the berries were white all summer. Just wandering if anyone has tried it for bows? The tree was only about 6 inches in diameter and Im guessin it will have some sapwood. Should I cut it or let it grow a few more years?

okie64, most of the mulberry from my area of PA has about 1/2" or more of sap wood.  I've cut several trees in the 8 to 10" range and chased a ring to get my back.  I have read that a bow can be made with the sap wood for the back, but I've never tried it.  I'm sure there's a bow or two in there.
