I purchased a bow from a forum member here, the bow is beautiful, brand new and shoots great. The comapny that manufactured the bow is one I have been looking at for some time. The question I have is this. The string grooves are not even close to being even from side to side. One string groove is about 1/8 inch lower then the other. I know this doesn't sound like much but I am a VERY particular person and I don't have the experience to know if this is a big deal or not when it comes to the performance of the bow.

I did not mention it to the person I purchased it from but should I contact the bowyer?

Thanks, Andrew

Look for limb twist.  I have had to un match my nocks to get rid of a bit of twist.

If there is no twist and the string goes down the center of the bow, it will be fine and shoot fine.
God gave you hands, use them

Not something I would want or could live with. I would contact the bowyer and see if he'll dress it up for you. Can you show us a picture? Art

It could be that the limb had twist, and the string groove was deepened on one side to compensate.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

If I knew the string grooves were like they are I wouldn't have bought the bow Hova. I thought that would be pretty obvious. Thanks for the welcome.
