Bingham products yes or no

I want to learn to make bows like the ones ive seen here should i get the print sets Bingham or is there other ways to get prints i have no idea how to start really i have read through almost all the build along but just not sure how to start. I have three bows two great northern and one bear super Kodiak i really like the Kodiak it seems to be a lot more friendly on the release the the GN bows both really seem to jerk in my hand so i think im leaning more to the glass style vs the all wood but as i said what do i know all help is needed ----Please help if you can---

Deercraver, although a greenhorn myself, I've been into it a little over a year. I would suggest a bow board or two to start with. A fairly cheap starter (board bows), and you learn a lot in the process. Or at least I have. Then graduate to a Bingham kit, or get up with Kenny here. I hear he has a lot of great stuff. I'm currently making my form and heat box, for a Bingham TD Recurve. Hope this helps.

check out 4est "so you wanna build a bow" thread- really very good- also check out jawge's site.
do a search for other buildalongs- you will learn so much from this forum.
kenny is super helpful- ask him about his form building methods.
bingham were very professional and helpful over the phone- and i ended up ordering from them as i wanted to build a 3 piece take down, otherwise i would have gone with kenny and his designs- that will be my next bow for sure!!

I am buiding my first Bingham bow now. Seems pretty straight forward and everything is sufficiently explained. In my opinion you can't go wrong with the Bingham kit. I will post pics after I'm done, that is if I don't mess it up, hahaha. I am trying to build a laminated riser for my first one.

Many 100's of bowyers got their start with Binghams projects. They have a great video for beginners showing their way of building a fiberglass laminated bow. Kenny M has some great plans and is very helpfull as well.

I agree do a bow with Bingham's plans and instructions and follow them to the letter. You will end up with a good shooting bow and then you have an idea of how to do the job.  Your next one can start to have what you want in it.

Wow what great response i thank all of you for your help.I think i will order the plans as a set and get all of them plus the plans for the forms plus a video for like $70.00 cant really go wrong. I will have to look up Kenny M. I am new to the gang so i dont really know to many folks yet but so far a great group of people.

I recently built both Bingham's 64" R/D bow and several Kenny M 60" R/D bows. All shoot well, Kennys bow is a faster design if that matters to you. Bingham's instructions are good, so are the build alongs on here. Some real good bowyers sharing great techniques and tips. You could use Bingham's instructions with just about any plan, the process is basically the same. I'm not knocking Bingham's designs they are good, but so are Kenny's. Kenny is doing a great build along right now that is well worth looking at.

I went and seen kennys build along and it was impressive for sure.how do i make a form? can i get form plans from somewhere here. really not sure how to get started i feel after seeing all the other build alongs in the archive section here i can build one just need some plans to me going.

The best way to learn is find someone who will help you, I'm sure there is a bowyer within an hours drive of you.

Where in Michigan are you located, there are alot of people around these parts that build bows.
I have built board bows, selfbows, and currently build 3pcs takedown longbows. I got started with fiberglass with stuff from binghams but this site has been even more helpful.
