R/D BBO trilam

Finally got this bow finished up. It took me forever to glue it up and then forever to start tillering. It came out a bit too light for me (that early weight really fooled me this time) but I think it came out nice nonetheless. It is a Bamboo backed osage with a bubinga midlam and bubinga powerlam. Bubinga and cocobolo riser. Gopher snake skins on the back, Not oxblood

Bubinga and cow horn nock overlays. It is 64" total length 1 1/4" wide until near midlimb and the tapers to 3/8" nocks. It is 47# @28" and pretty darn quick and smooth. Hope ya like it. The FD pic is before I put the tung oil on it.

That to me is one perfect bow being that I use some cow horns too they work great.

As far as building them for a living, I'd be worried to take the fun out of it. You look at a guy like David Knight, He used to be active on the forums sharing bows and posting regularly and now he's too busy keeping up with orders. But thanks for the compliment Ken, means a lot. Although I'm thinking about selling one to help pay for the GSP pup I'm trying to get

Greg, I used 4" blocks for the tips and a 1" block for the deflex. Off the form the tips were 3" behind the handle. After tillering the tips are 1 1/2" behind the handle.

you never cease to amaze me...

i love the cow horn , im gonna hafta find some of that on the cheeeeep.

and those gopher skins look very nice. never seen a gopher with scales , so thats even cooler.

Many people mistakenly call them bull snakes but this far west they are gopher snakes. There are ssome differences in them, although sometimes not much, the 2 types of snake can interbreed, along with Pine snakes. They are all Pituophis though.
