thanks it shoots great and handles well at that length . its hard to find a tougher combo than hicory and ipe.

pat i actually built the bow as a hic backed ipe and came out lighter than i wanted . added another hic and jacked the weight up.im in the southwest corner Blakely

Sharp bow, Ken.  What is the thickness of the two pieces of hickory? Did you use two standard hickory backings?
