My cheapy fish scale is taking a dump. It registers zero as 50lbs.

I noticed too that the dial is paper and is warped so the needle doesnt travel right.

Any suggestions? I have a large game scale, I'd rather have something that is smaller.

I have a Hansen 0# to 100#. I think 3Rivers sells them and you may be able to find one locally at a hardware ot sproting good store. I don't remember what I paid for mine.

I use the big buck scale. It has taken several bow breaks and been sent flying to the floor and still works. It goes from 0 to 300 o think. I recommend it. Easy to read from a dostance and super durable. About fifty bones though.

i was just in walmart the other day , and checked their luggage area. lo and behold , there was a $7.50 beauty. the one i have is horrible , and i should have gotten the new one already.

or you could go all out and get one of the above scales...

I went to the local feed store they had a 50# or a #100 scale,I got one of each and both still work well, I use the bigger one for my glass bows and the smaller for some of the kid's wood bows.

if youre looking for something up to 80lbs , i just picked up the one from wally world in the luggage section , and its pretty nice. measured my bow and its around 45# which is ohio hunting weight.

gallon of water weighed between 8 and 9 pounds , so its pretty spot on.

$7.50 at my store.

The pelouse scale I got from 3-R is junk. It won't zero and is 4 lbs off at 50 lbs. ( tested with 50 lb. wt standaed.  JSB

Picked up the wallyworld version. $7.50. Definetly seems better than my old one.

try one of these out i can hang it up and draw my bow and just focus on 28inch of draw till it beeps then it saves the readout, works pretty slick dont need your wife there to read the scale for you.
