we cut down a big maple tree at my parents house today, and it is as curly as i have seen. very pretty stuff. i have several pieces that would be big enough for risers, at least one and probably two. if anybody wants some let me know, all it will cost you is shipping.

I have a gunstock of curly maple... absolutely beautiful wood. I'd be willing to chip in for a trip to Hawaii as well.... The Post Office one box 70# thing is the way to go with this.. What's your time worth...  ;)

Much Aloha...  :archer2:

alright fellas here are a few pics. the first few have been cut on a table saw and sanded so you can get a feel for what it looks like a with a bit of "finish" to it. a couple of the pics have walnut colored stain on them to show the grain better.
this is what it looked like when we split it.

for those who still want a  piece just let me know. it will be first come first serve. the people who posted on here and pmed me will have first dibs.

Wow that is some great wood. How about the 20 1/2" by 4 1/2" by 3" piece you told me about before? Let me know what I owe you.
Thanks

If you have pcs for skins for knives I would like some.

Just reread your post.  Looks like I got in late.  I was thinking they needed to be 10-14 inches long, but doesn't need to be big enough for a full riser.  Just gonna lam it up.  Thanks if you have some smaller pieces left.
