Hope this is the right forum for this. Just got back from a hunt and acquired a new to me bow. One of the individuals in the party could no longer draw and shoot his black widow so it was for sale. My question is how to remove his name from the limb.It has clear coat bamboo limbs. Can it be done with 320 sand paper without damaging anything. Your suggestions would be appreciated.

I've wondered about this before...the answer will be interesting.

I would contact Black Widow to find out how deep the writing is.
After I write on mine, I spray three more coats of finish over the top.
I'm shure it won't damage anything but the looks. You may even be able to touch it up where it's not noticeable, but likely won't find a finish that is a complete match.
good luck, BigJim

Thanks BigJim sort of my thoughts as well. It appears the name is close to the top so maybe the last one or two clear coats cover it.

Black Widow makes a sticker to put over a previous owners name.  That would be the easiest.

I've just used some acetone on a rag and rubbed it till gone.  This has worked on a couple different bows, one was a Dryad.  Good luck.

Same answer as for that unfortunate ex-girlfriend's name tattooed on your arm.  Cross it out and write a new name right next to it!
