When heat bending a self bow, what temperature heat gun should you use?

Is there a difference for laminate bows?

I got my heat gun from a garage sale for $5 about 10 years ago. It is a 2 temp setting gun and I use it mostly on high.
Most bending in a FG bow is done at glue up time and not with heat. The lams are thin enough to bend under pressure and the glue and glass holds that shape.

I agree with Pat B. My heat gun is a Wagner and it has two settings. One is 700 degress and the other is 1200. I use te hottest setting and heat the bow until it is to hot to touch without burning it. Go slow to avoid cracking.

Sounds good so far. Going to get the Mrs. to get me one tomorrow at the hardware. On 7 to 7 day shift. No ones open when I go home.
