Could someone please explain tillering to me.

TBBIV has a glossery of archery terms in the back on page 313. On page 322..."Tiller, Tillering: the process of removing wood from a stave such that the bow bends to intended shape, draw length and draw weight. Also, the side-view shape of the drawn bow"

So if I shoot three under I can buy a usded bow , reguardless of the tillering ,and ajust the nock-set accordingly?

That's right Burt. Some bowyers don't tiller specifically for split or three under. If you buy a used bow just tune it in and enjoy shooting it.
