Piking an osage bow

Hey guys, I know the answer to this probably varies from situation to situation, but I just piked and heat treated an osage bow that was one of my first bows. It was in the low 30 pound range and was 65". I Piked er down to 60" and heat treated the belly, introducing a little reflex in the process. I haven't been able to bend it yet because I am waiting for it to rehydrate, but I'm anxious to know how much weight it picked up.
Anyone care to venture a guess?

I'd say close to what Joe said. but just for the sake of taking a stab I'll say 26#

Assuming a rigid handle and drawing to 28", you'll pick up 20# at first.  It will shoot in at less than 15# gain, especially if you have to retiller.  Overall, I bet you end up with a 40# bow.  Now if tiller is a little whippy, you might beat that but a lot of it will be stack weight and won't really help the efficiency much.  It'll follow the string more after you're done too.

Yeah guys these are about in the range I was guessing. It was a very whip ended bow and I believe I removed alot of the whip endedness (if thats a word) It was one of the first bows I made several years ago and wasn't much fun to shoot, being so wimpy! Hopefully this changed that.
