sand the strong limb--5/8" is very doable

Not a problem at all. Side tiller the heavy , stronger limb . Negative one. by marking a 1/16 line along the entire side from nock area to the wedges and sand each side of the limb like 40 strokes with a long sander and 80 grit until you get the desired tiller you want. Probably postive 1/4.if you shoot split finger. you are only 3/8 off. You have the line so that you can see how much you are taking off and get each side even.I would leave the face of the glass alone unless the limb is not bending evenly. God Bless,Take your time and good luck . Steve

Sixby's advice is sound you aren't that far off. I would only sand the face of the glass as a last resort.

One thought, did you use the same form for both limbs?

If so,you might also check the riser pad angles.

Off a little can be out of tiller.

Just thinkin......
Stay sharp, Kenny.

using the side tiller method i brought it down to 3/16  the stiff limb is now narrower will this affect the way the bow will shoot? shock, vibration, accuracy?

Sixby

It won't if the timing is right. If both limbs stop at the same time then you are good to go. God bless you and good luck , Steve

well you removed an 1/8th of an inch
still didnt get it --sand the back and belly w/220g go easy -use a block ---it doesn't take much--good luck

Many ways to do this, side tiller (as mentioned) is one way. The quickest way is to just round off the edges of the limbs on the BACK of the stronger limb. You aren't that far off and you won't have to take that much material off doing it this way to make up that difference. I personally don't like to side tiller as sometimes I have to narrow a limb too much to get the tiller corrected and although the tiller is good, the limbs are responding differently and that just bugs me to the extent, I just can't sell a bow like that...but that's my opinion.
