Where is the best place to get the wood to build?

Sorry...I couldn't resist.  I assume you are talking about a laminated glass bow.  If so, I would contact KennyM here on TradGang.

Kenny has some nice stuff. I second that.  Some of us are lucky to have a nice locally owned hardwood store in the area too.

I second the woods... For selfbows of course.

I got to give a shout out for Old Master Crafters.  I saw John's shop.  It seemed to go on forever and he had all kinds of woods.  He had the machines to make laminations as well.  Give him a try.  No website but he's in Waukegan IL.

i would think it would depend on what you are wanting to build. selfbows, then the woods are great, if its laminated bows, then kennym seems to be very knowledgeable.
