Does anyone know of a parallel limb recurve?   :dunno:

Depends on what you mean by "parallel limb recurve."

At full draw many horsebows have the limbs parallel until the siyahs.

Or do you mean no taper in the limb cores?

Looking for a take down that has limbs that starts past 45 and when is drawn limbs will come to parallel or past it. I imagine it would have a siyah to speak of at the end, but it's cross section will be curved in nature to add stability with out adding weight and slowing the limb tip down making the bow less effective.

Anybody out there know of anyone who make bows like that?  Or has anyone tried to make recurve limbs for a parallel limb bow?

are you talking about how the new parallel compounds are?

ain't got no gas in it...mmmhmmm...

No I'm wanting to make a recurve with limbs that are very near parallel.  I'm also looking to have a 7 to 7.75  brace with the draw force curve starting at 80% then ariving at 100% @28.  This will add power to the bow.  really looking for some solid advice before I start.

To be honest, it sounds ike you're fighting physics. I don't really think that what you want is even possible.

Sorry.

Thanks for that, but that's what I've set out get as close as possible to.
Has anyone tried to make a bow like that?  In appearance it would look similar to the Monster or Oneida bows, but with a solid limb I'm trying to find out the correct limb material and geometry.  The rough shape I have already.  What I don't know is what to make the limbs out of to get the limb to start at 75%max draw weight(at the brace position)then only 25% more at 28"(45#@brace;60#@28)

yeah thats a parallel limb compound, just like i said. the limbs in that compound work with the cams. to get that kind of force , youre going to have to use cams.

try all you want , but if you start at 75% , you wont get that 75% of power back out of it.

im not a profesional bowyer , but physics is against you.

start hoggin some wood and keep us updated , i wish you the absolute best of luck.

Thanks,  Have to try. Looking into carbon fiber with ceramic core.  Keep you posted.
