Old bear showing a little water damage

Question:  I have a friend who has an old bear that he has walked through the thick and thin with.  He would be out rain or shine and the bow has been with him.  There are water rings beginning to form around the bear emblem and around the quiver inserts.  Was wondering the best 2 cents worth for what would seal it with little to no sheen.  Thoughts?
