Marty, I was always wondering what you actually order on that site.  Do you order both a gallon of the Fullerplast, plus the catalyst...and if you need the catalys, how much catalyst do you need for a gallon.

Also just wondering, as your finish on yours bows looks exellent,....do you use satin or gloss?

Thanks

Jason Scott

I know of another bowyer that has a textured finish similar to his. This guy uses gloss but on the last coat he sprays from a distance and lets the finish collect into larger droplets that start to slightly dry before landing on the surface. Turn the volume up and from a distance the droplets will not level all the way and will dry with a texture. You could experiment on something smooth until it gives the result. In theory, I guess it's like adjusting the gun as to not give a good even coating for the rougher texture. When it's spraying crappy that's just about right.

Make sure to follow all health and safety precautions when using this stuff.  The nickname for Fullerplast is "death in a can".

I use satin.  You can skim gloss off the top before mixing if you want.  When you call, let them know you are building bows.  You will order a gallon of finish, one bottle of catalyst, and some of the fast synol thinner.  I've tried other lacquer thinners but had problems with it.
