Here is one more...

I have tweaked it some since that last one was taken and put some more arrows thru it and seems to be shooting pretty good. I'm going to shoot it some more before doing anything else to it. I'm right at the middle of target weight right now so we will see what happens.
Thanks for looking,David

Well it will be in the  mail today. I guess I should have listed some info of bow. Its 66" 64" (NTN)52@28. Its a Boo backed , with the main lamination of Osage, and a piece of Jobota for a 2nd lam coming over fades. The tips are Argentina Osage. Its been fun doing this trade.
WHERE WILL IT BE GOING ?   :archer2:

Haven't had much time to work on the trade bow since my last post until this weekend. Got the limbs shaped. Going for pyramid. Also had to spend some quality time around several pin knots.

This is by far my absolute favorite part of this bow. Snakey!

Can't work on it next weekend (mothers day with the inlaws.) But the weekend after I look to get her bending. Everyone's bows look awesome!

been working some crazy hours, out of town a lot for the last few weeks. I'll be working more on mine soon and be posting some pics.  All work has been pretty preliminary so far, but ill get some work done this weekend and post results.

Im working on mine too.  Taking my time though, I usually try to rush stuff and more often than not it costs me dearly.  I'll try to post some pics in the next day or two.  I have it floor tillered and need to straighten one of the limb tips but nothing major so far......  This bow building is fun stuff and addictive.

Ive seen some awesome bows.  Many that I would like to see arrive at my house.  Just about the time I feel like Im getting better at building bows I am humbled by the amount of talent so many of you have.  Take care and good day.

Okay, I've gotten a little bit more done the last couple of weeks.  I heated the limbs to profile and let them sit for about 10 days ('cause I've been either too busy or too lazy to work on it since then!)  Tonight I started to work in the bow.  It's a working recurve.  Other than that, if I give too many specs the new owner will readily identify himself     :goldtooth:

It's got a long ways to go.  It's rough and ugly right now and tillered out to 25".  I'll post a couple of pictures of the "before" to refresh everyone's memory.  It's been fun, and I'm looking forward to finishing this one up.

After the initial straightening (Still not great, but better!  I got it aligned really nice on the second go-round.)

I got a chance to work on my trade bow over the week. It is coming along well. A few troublesome spots, but I think I will still make weight. It is pulling fifty@twentysix right now. I have two inches to go but I always take the final tillering slow. I spent the day shooting it and it ainlt the fastest, but it ant that bad. I'm still a ways from complete, but I like it thus far. Not perfect tiller, but not to bad either. Here it is with a six inch brace and pulling 50@26
