nock on selfbow

I built a nice bow awhile back and after bareshaft tuning I found that arrows shot the best when my string nock was placed at 1/8 in above even.  Does this mean something is wrong?  I shoot this bow off my hand.  It shoots very well to me, but I have never seen this before.

Arrow under the nock, right? No, that's not normal. Around 1/2" (that could vary somwhat  according to shaft dia. and where the pressure is placed on the string/release or draw length) above square is normal for most people/bows. Could be the way you grip the bow. Does your bow show a positive or negitive tiller? ART

My selfbows all have the string nock anywhere 1/8" to 3/8th above square.
