Snag I think it turned out great. The grip looks like it would make consistent hand placement.
I would also like to see a whole bow picture.

Brock if you mean the Pope & Young Shoot...yes, it will be there with me. We did the work party yesterday on the course. There will be a few surprises that I think everyone will like! I'll get a picture of the whole bow up today.

If that work of art is your first bow the next ones will be stunning!   :clapper:

Well here it is strung. I got to shoot it some more yesterday. I love how smooth it shoots and how solid it sits in my hand. It's a keeper!

Glad you took a full view.  Too many pics of risers and limbs only on the forum and you can't get a feel for the lines of a bow.  Yours is pretty.

I glued leather on the shelf and a side plate yesterday. Then put another coat of varnish on it. Today it will get the final coat, number 5. Then it's all mine! I was shown how to taper the leather so it looks like it is beveled right into the wood. Pretty nice touch instead of just cutting and gluing the leather. I didn't do a great job of it being the first time I've tried it...but it looks ok. When it is out of the spray booth I will post a pic of the leather work.

Nice job, really like the way the shelf sets close to the hand.

Terry, that is one of features in this design that sold me on it. I liked the way the hand fit into the grip and the shelf curved off onto the hand. Building my own bow one of the things I could do was to file the shelf off and form a line that matched up with the top part of my hand.

Well it's done! Steve sprayed the last coat of varnish on it yesterday while I was at work. Thanks Steve. I'm real happy with it. I am looking forward to starting another one after hunting season. What a great way spend the winters..building bows with friends!
