It seems that I give away my "personal carry" every couple of years to well deserving folks. I had a small piece of 1/4 inch thick "cut-off" from my recent mini-hatchet project. I am a bit of a "tight ass", so rather than just trashing the small piece away, I went ahead and made myself a replacement "carry" knife. D2 blade, 59C Rockwell with stabilized mulberry burl.

That's fantastic  :) . I really like the overall knife, especially what you did with the handle. Is that a milled out pocket for scales on either side? Great job, however you did it. I'd be willing to bet you could make several more in that style and wouldn't have them for too long at all. Thanks for posting it up.

Hello Jeremy,
Slot for the handle was first band sawed out and then filed by hand. Single piece wood handle was then fitted to the slot and pinned from top and bottom side of the slot through the metal.

Wow Mike! Every once in a while someone comes up with a one of a kind creation. You just did it! That's a beautiful custom knife!

Now that's just flat out awesome.  Definitely something you don't see everyday.  I really like the profile as well.  What are the dimensions?

Aha! That was my other guess. Fantastic execution on the handle, Mike. This may be my favorite of yours-slim and a very useful blade shape, all while looking really good. Home run

Thank you fellas.
Matt, the handle is 4" long and blade is 2 1/2", so this might make a good neck knife, however, I decided on a cross-draw sheath design.

tomsm44

I thought it looked small.  That's about perfect for most of what I do.  The crossdraw sounds like the way to go.  I've never been a fan of neck knives myself anyway.  Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Ben and all those forum folks providing feedbacks. The response was very positive from my customers as well. I am currently working on a scaled-up version with other minor improvements. I will post as soon as one is completed.
