Hello all,
Been a busy, hot, dry summer here in the interior of BC, and bladesmithing took a back seat to other things. But I am finally getting the time and inclination to bash steel again.
This will be a semi skinner with elk antler handle. I haven't yet decided what the fittings will be. It is a lower layer count twist pattern of 1084 and 15n20.......

I haven't forgotten that I owe you fellas a sheath making WIP, so look for that in the not too distant future.

I have been lurking here a bit, but not spending much time online to post replies, so to all the guys posting projects, thanks for showing them and keep up the good work...........

I`ll still be running the knife making machine at only half throttle for a while as hunting season kicks into high gear.........but the winter smithing season is approaching soon enough, and the inventive juices are starting to flow......I look forward to the sharing of knowledge around this fire again.   :campfire:

Congrats!!! Your work is amazing!

Tho having spent some time in Northern Maine/Southern NB during the "summer", I have to say hot is a term to be used loosely.

Looking good so far.  I know what you mean about the heat.  That usually discourages me from doing much during the summer also.  Ours here in Louisiana was cooler than normal though, ONLY mid to upper 90s.  First summer I can remember where I didn't see triple digits a single time.  I'm ready for the sheath tutorial.

Hi guys, ended up having to shut down the knife making machine for while. Seemed like I'd just get one job done and another one would jump up and need my attention.
Hopefully that's the end of the interruptions for a while, I got blades to make!   :D     :knothead:

Stay tuned.......
