In an earlier thread called Bird and Trout I showed how I grind the plunge and choil. This is that blade. I decided to add a top lug on the guard and look at it knowing I could grind it off if I did not like it. I thought it looked good so here it is looking more like a boot knife.

Lin, that is a beauty!

The stag is great, do you dye that, if so with what?

The stag is dyed, but not by me. Culpeppers did it. I have the dye all over me by the time I get done, but it seems that buffing it stops the stain from getting on you so bad. I guess all of that sanding and buffing stops it.

Thanks

Sweet knife Lin, I really like your stag hunters.

That is such a handy knife, right there.
And made from all top shelf materials as well.
The guard was a good idea.

Great looking knife. Everything just goes together.

Bird and boot.  I like that.  At first I thought the boot was a reflection of how you typically come out on a fishing trip.  The name fits though.  Looks awesome.

Really nice as usual Lin. Sent a box of horn to Cullpepper a while back, looking forward to getting messy with it...

Love the temper line.  Adds a nice touch you don't see a lot on Damascus.  Saw that in the first picture but thought it was a shadow or something.
