This is probably the last knife I will have time to finish for the upcoming OKCA show.
This is a big boy with a 13" blade and an OAL of about 18.75". The blade is W2 with a polished hamon.
The handle is some gorgeous natural Sambar stag, and the fitting are blued mild steel.
I made a deerskin lined blade sheath, with a custom matching belt stud.
These were the best pics I could take in my little light tent, It wasn't easy to shoot!
Let me know what you guys think.

Very nice!

The length, hamon, guard the stag and the sheath are top notch.

I love everything except the Ricasso that's just me.

Great work!

That is a beautiful package.  Really like the stag.

A lot of real estate right there!
Nicely done.

I like the overall look, the stag, the guard, and the long clip. I am not so fond of the plunge in the flat of the ricasso, mostly because it detracts from the otherwise traditional look. At least, to my eye.
Sheath looks very nice.

I see what Darcy means about the plunge line, but it is basically cosmetic and gives some stylistic variation. You have done a good job of making this piece your own, Ben. Very nice, including the sheath. Your work continues to take on its own life while still maintaining many traditional aspects. You are nipping at the heels of the old-timers now, which is saying a lot. That is a combination of knife and sheath that anyone would be proud to produce.

Thanks gentlemen!
I know it is a bit different, but I like to try things I have never seen before. Sometimes it works out awesome, and sometimes I never do it again!  :)
