Sheath Fronts

My search for my generic sheaths is done. As I stated before, I have a harness maker to sew up any sheaths I glue up. There is a Tandy Leather store within 15 minutes of me. They have a bulletin board of people doing leather goods. After trying a few, I've found a fellow close by that will stamp out the fronts of my sheaths. It's not the quality of Scott but it sure is a lot better than tippit!

These are his first tries and just the fronts. I'll glue and have them stitched. He is now trying some floral and oak leaf designs. What do ya'll think...better than just plain or not? tippit

Can't go wrong with the basket weave pattern for a generic. Goes with anything.

Couldn't even come close. These are just hobby sheaths that are one step above my plain ones. Besides a new buyer would have a sheath while awaiting one of yours

Nope, they aren't going to put Scott out of business, but they really look nice. The basket weave pattern is my favorite of those three.

Hey Jeff the basket weaves are not that hard to learn how to do. But it does take a lot of practice to make them look as nice as the second one. Are you coming to the ABS hammer-in next month? I can show you what little I know about making them.

hit them with a little "antique" wax or Aussie wax and buff lightly, they will really pop then!!

Great idea on the sheath fronts!! may have to borrow it and keep my local Tandy zombies buzy.
