F. Bradley California Knife

Hello, I purchased this 8" overall fixed blade knife a little while ago with a bent and rebent tip. I would like to get it back to its well tempered straight bladed self again. Does anyone know what steel this knife maker used? Is he still  around? Is it worth the trouble and cost of getting it retempered, or should I just try to get it as straight as possible and hope it does not break? Thank you.
