Thanks guys. I figured I'd give it a try rather than using Helle blades to make some knives. Took a bit of practice. A number of useless pieces of steel on my work bench now.

Looks good! what grinder are ya using?
What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

I use a disc/belt grinder to gring the shape and a Bader grinder for the blade bevel.

Very good job!

Grinding is the area I need most work at!

Very nice!! WHat are the specifics?  Steel, scale material, design thoughts?  Inquisitive minds need to know!!  :)

The top knife, third knife down, and last knife are 440c stailess, the other two are ATS34 stainless. The scales are all stabilized, from top to bottom are spalted box elder burl, spalted birch, amboyna burl, amboyna burl, and afzeilia burl. I just wanted to make knives with all around functional blades that feel good in the hand.

Cool, thanks for sharing!
