ah you guys weren't supposed to notice that! my knife with Batson and all those excellent knives. I don't feel worthy at all. I thought it was going to be in a 'New Maker' section.... not with all those guys!

The funny thing is that mine is right next to Doctor Batson's who had just given me a good going over on that same knife.  I had to take it home and fix a few things... ;-)

Thanks for noticing Lin....

And to think that he was in my shop.

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Thanks again folks..

Karl I think that knife was the first thing I made after leaving your shop.

Kevin Evans

Hey Karl you ain't got nothing on me I gave him some of his first steel,(not long ago)think he will remember us after he is more famous??

Scott Roush

You did give me steel and I really appreciated it.. I've always been amazed at how generous people are on this forum.. from you giving me steel, Kuch sending me liners, Halverson loaning me his Goddard book, Skull and his shears, Karl lending me his vast store of knowledge and Lin too...  A great bunch to learn from.

Kevin... one of these days I will send you some of my wrought iron san mai and hopefully some home-bloomed steel to play with...

Kevin, I think he owes us a fishing trip.

Fishing would be good Karl, but I would rather just eat'em. And besides where would we get a knife to skin'em??

Scott thanks for the offer,I better stick to 5160 a few more months. But maybe someday LOL

You are acually the one that makes us proud!

Scott Roush

The lake is starting to get 'smoke on the water' Karl...  I've got an ice shack and a small inkling of an idea where a Lake Trout might be.  Ever go ice fishing where you only see white in every direction?

You bet. My dad lived in International Falls for 20 years.
Of course, I'd want to go in a heated and insulated fish house with a TV and a cook stove.
