I put another folder together a little while back. My best to date. I'm trying to clean my stuff up like the blades I see you guys post on here ( long ways to go)

This first picture is just before heat treating the blade and spring. The rough tuning is done.

The second picture is after I've got it done.
I sent it to a good bladesmith to ware out so he could help me with my screwups.

Wow - a locking folder is so "next level" from where I am at.  That is real nice.  What is the steel?

I don't know wheather my eyes can handle this small work???

I'm liking that!

One day I will try a primitive friction folder, but that looks to be beyond my ability!

Thanks guys, I've got a long ways to go but I'm having fun learning. My wish list for tools is growing.
Bob, this one has 01 tool steel in the lock & blade, 1095 in the spring. Nickle liner's and the rest is brass.
The shed elkhorn in the first pic is what the scales came out of.

Hope you post a pic of your first when you get done Rooster. Would love to see what style you do. I use cheater glasses these days.

Steve. I tryed a kit for my first one to figure out the parts. This is my third from scratch and I have a idea for the next one allready.

I really like that!!!
