A trio from Sticshooter...

Here are a trio of knives I just received from Frank.  

The top is a large French trade knife, with osage scales and 20 pins.  It's the big brother to the other one he posted earlier.  I have a big hand and wanted to be able to fit all of my fingers between the knob and the curve in the blade.  The blade is 8.5" and the overall length is a touch over 13".  It's a big knife for sure, but it will be the perfect pig-sticker/kindlin' chopper/steak flipper/bow scraper knife.

The second one is a 4" skinner I had Frank make for one of my best friends.  His late father was a farrier, so we included a rasp bolster.  The elk antler scales were influenced by his scientific work with elk.  The blade is a 4" drop point and the overall length is around 8".

The last is a gift for my father-in-law.  It's a sweet little 3" skinner with a whitetail antler scales.  The blade is a drop point and the overall length is a little over 7".

Michelle made up some awesome sheaths. They hold the knives securely and are very high quality.

Good to see Frank and Shell are back to putting out their ussual fine work!

Thanks Doug. But these were made before I went into the hospital and shell has still been catching up on her leatherwork for others on here but has helped with making all the sheaths during this time on thse who i had to send out to after I was in the hospital on rest had alot of folks on hold that had waited until I could have Shell get the sheaths made up and some knives still needing edges put on them. thanks Cheney for the nice words and nice pics too and sorry for waiting this long <><

Great to see you posting again. I have been praying for you and your daughter to get better and for Shell to keep up her strength. I'm still waiting for you to build me a knife, but I can wait as long as it takes for you to get back to good health. There is nothing more important than that.
