I have had a Benchmade 905 Stryker clipped inside my left pocket for 12+ years and it does everything from open envelopes to boxes to???  anything a knife is designed to do and beyond.  This has been a true fixture of my personality and I think I lost it???  I was outside the other day fireing up the lawn mowers and such and the next morning I noticed my 905 was not in it's place next to my wallet?  OK, took dirty pants off in wash room - go check and no knife???  long/short - cannot find it even with the metal detector in the lawn and I am beginning to think I am going to have to replace her.  I want a sturdy, high quality pocket clip knife that will be with me for the next 10-20 years.  What are you carrying daily, why and pictures of it if possible.  Thank you for any input.

I carry a Benchmade Mini-griptillian. Partially serrated. Holds a good edge and gets used for the same things yours does.
'cuz deer huntin' ain't catch & release!

Kershaw Leek with "Assisted Opening", I also like the Benchmades

I carry an Old Timer Muskrat.I've carried one for over 20 years and would be lost without it!!Before that I carried a Case muskrat until I broke it  :(    :(

Wampus

Little Swiss army knife I've had since the mid 80's.  Really like having the screwdriver and bottle and can openers.  Carried it every day up until 2001 when they started getting picky about airports.

I carry a Swiss Army knife too.  But I need one with a tooth pick, beer opener, & cork screw...just for emergencies  ;)

Either one or the other of these two.

Top one is a Rough Rider Congress whittler,
bottom one is a Rough Rider Copperhead.

To my mind, Rough Rider make one of the best value for money, traditional pocket knives in the world. Yes, they're made in China, but they take & hold a great edge, are very well made (No blade play or gaps anywhere) & generally cost about $12!

3" Buck lock blade with exquisite green plastic handle.  Not much but it hasn't let me down in 20+ years.

Here is my Buck knife that has been on my belt for the last 10 years.  I bought it for myself as a "I'm finished university gift".  It is a great little knife to carry on my belt, it holds a decent edge and the serrated blade comes in handy too. I think it cost around the $60 mark, I definitely have got my moneys worth. Chuck Buck signed the blade back in 2002, he is a very nice man, we had a great chat.  Good luck with replacing your lost knife.

Killdeer

Kershaw Leek, half serrated.
I think I had to swap over the pocket clip to carry it point-up.

I carry a Ray Kirk Pocket Medicine. Good little fixed blade. The best part is that a friend made it.
Edited to add:
Here is a snap shot of my edc. This little knife is one of the best knives for the money out there. This one got run over by a Toyota one day, but just scratched it up. I was thinking about sanding it out, but decided it added to its character. Lin

I have been carrying a Victorinox "61" pattern Soldier for about 30 years.  It's the alox handled model that the Swiss Army recently dumped in favor of something more modern.  The combination of tools and the slim profile have kept me hooked on the Soldier.  I seem to use the awl the most.  Great little scraping blade.

My latest and greatest daily carry is a CRKT "Longs peak" skeleton foulder w/ pocket clip. Reasonable price, quality and availablilty.

Thank you all for the info on your carry - bad news is I will not be carrying a new knife - good news is, I found my old one.  Just turned up in with my dogs e-collar.  I am guessing when I came in through the basement and took off the collar I also grabbed my knife out of my pocket.  Did this because I wanted to leave my clothes in the wash room and head straight to the shower.  At least that is the best I can recall.  Went to put his collar on last night and, whola, there is my old friend.  Feeling so much better with it in my pocket again.

Glad to here your knife turned up, I love it when I find stuff I've misplaced.  I actually just found $30 bucks I lost last fall, made my day, lol. It will pay for my bear tag this spring.

Since I'm lucky enough to have gained many friends in the knife making world, a buddy of mine from Massachusetts, who is a folder maker, and myself have decided to do a knife swap.
Put simply, I've always wanted one of his and vise-versa.
Here's the one I'm getting, which was made from D2 and Ringed Gidgee.
Not sure what he's getting yet.
Like Lin, it's cool to carry another maker's knife when that maker is a friend.
I'm jealous of Lin's Ray Kirk knife! A finer gentelman you will meet nowhere.
Ray, I mean.   ;)

The bottom knife with carbon fiber handle, it has about a 2 3/4" blade of ATS34.
I will also carry a liner locking folder made by friend Raleigh Tabor. It has a S30V blade and blue/black G10 handle.
