Just got this in an email from Blade:

"Proposed Amendment to Switchblade Act Forces Customs to Back Off

The biggest threat to knife ownership of 2009 has failed. U.S. Customs and Border Protection made it known yesterday it will no longer push to classify assisted openers as illegal switchblades.

Congratulations to everyone who helped defeat this measure by the authoritarians at Customs. From all of us at BLADE, thank you for standing up for what's right: the ability for peaceful people to own the knife of their choice."

This wasn't about switch blades as it would have incorporated and made illegal any assisted opening knife and easy one handed knives...tippit

That is EXTREMELY good news.
It shows that if we, "The People", continue to exercise our Freedom of Speech, and let those who we entrust with our freedoms, know what we do and do not approve of, there can still be justice in this country.
Only by failing to communicate our desires to our leaders, will we experience the worst.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Christ died to save me, this I read
and in my heart I find a need
of Him to be my Savior
