Ok with all my sucking up to doc as of late. I thought about all the knives I own and which ones I like best. So I am asking what knives are the ones you will never part with? I have a few knives I love. Here's just a few. Tippits and  one of mine I made. Then there's the one I swapped with someone last year after them knife swap. It was made awhile back has a antler and brass handle and a drop point blade. I am lost for the name of who I swapped with, Then I have a rooster knife with osage handle.And I have a few Loyd Lippert knives...I love this guys knives. He is just a great guy and make s sweet knife. Then We have the Original knifemaker of TG MR.CAMPBELL. I have had a few of his knives I have swapped and bought. sad thing is when times got hard I had to sell a lot of stuff and Campbell knives were one of them. But I will be getting more TRUST ME! I have two tattoo knives and my eye on another. But the one that alludes me still today is from a quiet man. someone who Shell and I consider and great friend. J-bear. Someday I will have something worthy of one of his. Ya see he's like that BLASTED tippit and don't sell his knives.<><

I'm pretty fond of this one. The handle needs to be just a hair bigger for my hand but the blade is perfect. Look familiar?

to many to list but i have a bowie and a long knife from ML knives that are very special to me. one day when the mood strikes me that it is time i plan on giving the bowie to Joe Weed so he could build a nice bow using it. also just got an awesome file knife i'm pretty fond of!  :notworthy:    :goldtooth:
I go by many names but Daddy is my favorite!

Hey buddy, yours is next up in the forge - I have something special planned  :)  Problem is, I need to make Shell's at the same time or she'll steal yours!  ;)

I have a few knives from guys here on TG that won't be going anywhere: one each from Frank, tippit, robtattoo, rooster, Kenny and Mr Doug  :)

I have a small fixed blade by Bob Dozier in D2 steel and yellow Micarta, that I bought off the classifieds here.  Out of a couple shoe boxes full of knives, that one gets the most use and I can't see me ever parting with it unless I start making my own.

Ya mean I actually have to pick a favorite!?!?    :scared:

Seriously though, I have a couple of  millitary ammo cans full of knives. I've been a knife junkie since I was a kid and up until recently I kept almost everything I ever bought, begged or borrowed.  LOL
I have several knives from the last couple of knife swaps that will never be traded or sold and a couple that I just plain traded for from the likes of Jeremy,Rooster,eloso,imskippy and a couple from you yourself Frank. So for starters  I guess I would count those special knives as my favorites with the hopes of one day owning a knife from Tippit,Rob and Doug Campbell.
Did I mention I was a knife JUNKIE?      :bigsmyl:
I reckon so

My 3 favorites. Not in any order, just depends what the job is. They all perform their chores flawlessly.

Man oh man, Frank! That is a tall order,bud!

Like many of you, I have a soft spot for sharp things. My collection is down to this so far;

I also have other various utility knives around (Kershaw blade trader,ect) and several folders. Of the hunting knives that I currently own, these two have my nod as my favorite(s)...right now;

The top one is a custom Brian Baker S30V drop point. The bottom one is a custom JRJ 154CMP drop point. In the JRJ, I was going after the look of another famous knife builder who's price is out of my reach right now.

All in all, I like them all and they all have their place according to the task at hand. I'm sure I will be aquiring more blades from the fine knife builders here on Tradgang. I have admired many of your creations and seen how your knife building abilities have evolved over time. Good post Frank!

Cheers!

I too have a bunch of knives mostly flea market finds and other junk. However I do have a few of my own and also fellow tradgangers who's knives I will never part ways with. My most favorite of all is this one. Made by John C. (Mystikbow)

One from skullworks I received in lastyears swap. This one is my current carry knife whenever I'm hunting.

This one I made to match my Zona L/B this one I will keep and carry with this bow.

This one has to be my favorite of the ones I've made.

And my first knife I made which I'm sure dad will never part with.

Man, I don't think I can pick just one!

Here's a Sticshooter necker that goes just about everywhere with me:

I also have a Robtattoo necker that was made to match my Turkey Creek LB:

And then these 2 might not be mine, but I'm sure I'll get the chance to use one (or both) of them at some point. They were Christmas gifts for my father and my son. My only regret is that I didn't have a third one made for me   :D
