i have been useing a 50 lbs martin mamba for a couple years now.  I am thinking about getting a heavier bow. I was wondering how the checkmate falcon or one of the hunter td compared to the mamba as far as hand shock and speed.

I have two Chek Mates; a 60" TD Hunter I and a 58" TD Hunter II.  At my 29" draw length the Hunter I is around 54lbs and the Hunter II around 56lbs.

I have chronographed my Hunter II. With a 520 grain arrow off a T-300 elevated rest my Hunter II averages 194FPS.

Have not yet gotten around to chronographing my Hunter I but my visual impression is it might be a touch faster even though it's a couple pounds lighter.  Going to have to check that one of these days.

Both Chek Mates are smooth and easy to shoot well.  The Hunter II seems to fit my style a bit better than the Hunter I, as I shoot it a shade better...

i have both of these bows. they chronographed at 175 fps with cedar arrows. mamba at 50#. falcon at 53#. in my estimation the falcon is smoother shooting. but i like to shoot both bows. i'm looking to add another recurve and a long bow this year. its addicting!
