I writing this on behalf of my brother, Ed Pitchkites.  This week (July 23, 2012) Ed suffered a mild heart attack, resulting in the need for bypass surgery.  He came through the surgery well and is recovering.  Anyone here who knows my brother, he would enjoy hearing from you.
His address is:
15434 E. 200 S.
Clinton, Indiana 47842
Hearing from his archery buddies will make his day.

Doc Nock

Don't think I've known or interacted with this gentleman, but a retired mason is someone who has worked hard and long...

Prayers for healing and doing EVERYthing the doctors tell him in the order he's to do it so he gets walking straight up and spry again. Dad didn't after bypass and just kept getting more and more bent over.

Folks today go back to very active lives after by-pass and we'll pray good things for your brother!

Ed, Keep the Son in your eyes!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Reading Ed's adventures makes me remember my explorations as a child, and his love of all things outdoors reflects the pure joy of a child. Moreover, he cannot contain this joy within himself, he spreads it around as widely as he can. He sprays it out like generous handsful of seed into a fallow field.

I hate to think of this man in any way ill, and I pray God to help and heal him. There are many happy days afield to be enjoyed in the future, so may the generosity practiced every day by Ed be echoed in the loving will of our Creator.

Killdeer
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Bill Kissner

I met Ed at Cloverdale a few times and enjoy talking to him. When he wrote his book, I ask if he had any copies with him. He went to his car and brought one out and said "I'll sell you this book but will not autograph it". I joking said I would not buy it then. He laughed and did autograph it and gave me one of his signature arrowheads.

Ed is a very likable guy and he is in my prayers.
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.

"Can't" never accomplished anything.

Praying that Ed feels better every day.
