Dave Luscher, aka, Bear 1336, lost his Mom today.

He's been back and forth to her place in FL over the years I've known him, when she'd have difficulties with her health, often to his own detrement.

As a believer, we all know that our parents go before us and stand victorious, made whole and perfect before Christ, but the ache inside is real and omnipresent for a time.

May our prayers bouy our friend and brother in his time of loss and need.

Keep the Son in your eyes, Dave!

Amen, praying for God's special comfort. My step-father was always a practical joker. When He died God gave us a special reminder that dad was still alive just in a better place. We were at the funeral home the night before the funeral so friends could stop by. After everyone left we stayed a bit longer and then started to leave. The funeral director thought everyone was gone and when he came around the corner and nearly ran into us it nearly scared the crap out of him. We all laughed so hard we were crying but crying good tears. We were comforted by God's special comfort and experienced His sense of humor as well as being reminded our dad was in a better place. He is faithful!
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

I imagine Dave and his family are on their way from GA to W.VA. His mother's ashes will be intered along with his father there in their old home area.

Prayers for continued peace for all and safe travels for those from far and near.

Just got a note from Bear1336.

They had to change all the plans. His mom passed couple days ago, but now they have to go to FL because they won't sign off the death certificate for some reason, then another doctor has to sign too, before cremation.

Plans for an internment service in W. VA have been delayed for quite a while and instead, amidst his own grief, Dave has to deal with bureaucrats and now help clean out his mom's stuff and fight thru the obstacles.

Gads!  :(  Prayers for strength, peace and tolerance for Dave, his wife and sisters!  :(

Having just lost my mom a few months ago I know the loss Dave is going thru.....I will be praying for Dave and his family.

Dear Lord I ask that you hold Dave and his family close to you, that they would feel your embrace and the comfort of your Holy Spirit. Lord that you would help to expedite this mix up that they can lay his mother to rest quickly. That you would help him to remember the good times they had and to know she is in a much better place. A place that knows no pain and no heart ache, that she has been made new again and basks in the light of our Lord. That he will hear her voice in the quiet times singing praises to our Savior and in those times his heart will be lifted knowing one day he will see her again in glory.  Amen

Leaving this Sat for WV to lay my Mother ashes to rest next to my Father. I feel better knowing they are both in our loving LORD's arms but it still does not easy the pain in my heart.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

It would be a strange world indeed, Master Jack, if we didn't feel loss over those we love.

Even Christ cried for Lazarus before he was empowered to raise him up.

There is a difference between pain and anguish. May your pain diminsh as you wrestle through your loss, and avoid the anguish of those who do not realize that we all meet another time and place for an incredible reunion!
