Dave sent an email an hour or so ago saying that his daughter Hadlea was in the emergency room with strep throat. He requested our prayers in their hour of need. Anyone with young children will know their concern. They will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers until we hear from Dave. Please take a moment to pray for her.

Children and aged parents can make us "sandwhich" people feel so helpless...and we are. Only God can be leaned on with certainty.

Prayers for healing and nothing worse for li'l Hadlea. Strength for the parents and a Happy Easter for them with her on the mend.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Thank you all for the prayers.

My Daughter Hadlea is 6 years old. She has a severe case of strep throat. She developed white blisters on the inside of her mouth and tounge today. My wife had taken her in to see her personal Doctor today, and her Doctor told her to take Hadlea to the E R.

They drew some blood for some blood work, and hooked her up with an IV to get her hydrated. they are also giving her medicine through the IV to relieve the pain in her throat, and mouth, and for the swelling around her lips.

Hadlea is not able to eat because of the pain, she can barely take a few sips of liquids at a time, she is barely able at times to talk because of the pain.

My wife is at the Hospital with her, I came home to get some items for them.

My Daugther is in a lot of pain, but she has remained tough for what she is going through.

I just ask for your prayers, that she will come out of this quick.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Dave, I have been thinking and praying for you  and Hadlea several times during the day. Hope to hear soon that she is doing better.

Dave Beeler

Hi Guys, First off, I thank you for your Prayers.

I spent the morning, and until around 1:00 o'clock with Hadlea, when I had to come home, and get some more supplies for my wife , and for Hadlea, and pick Jacob up from school.

I am happy to say her blood work came back fantastic.

She does have strep throat, but along with the strep, she has developed a viral yeast infection that has settled in. The Doc's are believing that the white blisters are from the unification of the two.

They have her on IV's with medication to help keep her hydrated, and also giving pain medication through a seperate tube in the same IV.

She has been able to drink a can of sprite throughout the day, I say a can, maybe 3/4 of a can, on her own, which is not much.

My Wife is still with her at the hospital, the Doc's are saying that there is a chance she might be able to come home tomorrow, (Sat.)  but they are looking at a bigger, more definate possibility on Sun.

You don't ever realize the pain, and the heartache that is associated with a loved one until it is yours, and especially your children.

I thank you all for your prayers.

I will definatly be here to celebrate her homecoming with you when she is home.

Thank you again, your thoughts, and prayers are welcomed.

Thanks for the update Dave. I agree with what you are saying. It's really difficult to see a kid suffer, even more so when that kid is your own. Will continue to pray for her.

Prayers continue for your daughter's recovery. May Easter have a double blessing with the Resurrection and Hadlea's (?) return home happy, michevious and well!!!

Thanks for the PM David. I was touched by your words and thoughtfulness.

That li'l stinker will be up making all sorts of mischief soon enough...and what a welcome time that will be! Prayers continue.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
