Mr. Griffin, please don't take my words for having a hard heart for you or your son, just the oppaset it true, I pray that God's will would be done in your son's life.

If he has the word planted in his soul, he will be OK, this is just a perfecting of his faith, as God did Abraham, so, he and you, will be able to give an account of the hope that lies within you.

Jesus said, he is faithful and true, we go through things this side of heaven, it is all designed to chase us back to God.

Your son can not get to heaven on your faith, he must have his own, which is, in the process of developing right now.

He will have his own testimony of, who God is to him, based on his relationship with his Savior.

I pray for all of our children to know God as there Savior.

Blessing to you my friend

The word "wander" might very well be "wonder".

I wonder if your son is a reader? He might enjoy Dostoevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov" or Tolstoy's "War and Peace" (he might not, too). I have benefited from these books as I have wandered and wondered.

My prayers, best hopes and wishes go to you and your son as you journey through life.

I once questioned the existence of God. Spent quite a bit of time approaching the subject "scientifically", even took a break from "life" to find out if God was true or not. I spent months backpacking the Hawaiian islands and reading books on religion, mythology, psychology, etc. What eventually brought me around was that viewed objectively life was too full of coincidences and serendipitous events to be random. Life was seemingly too preordained to be accidental.
The bottom line is your son may be one of the people who has been blessed with an observant and analytical mind (as I feel that I have been) which isn't satisfied with someone else accounting for him. You have planted the seed, and he can't possibly be a dummy if he's in college. In time, especially as he matures into manhood, he will come to an understanding of God which cannot be shaken, which cannot be manipulated and which needs no validation. He will have true and unabated faith and a quiet trust in God that will permeate every aspect of his life. So mote it be.

AM going through the same thing with my youngest..

Have been given the piece of mind in prayer that this is his walk to god and I am to just pray and help him when he needs it.

The seed planted in him when younger can not be put out or taken away it is planted to deep.

Prayers sent for you and yours.
