Bear Heart

I am transitioning out of the army now and have been in steady prayer about finding a new job to support my family.  There have been folks who with good intention have told me to stay in because I probably wouldn't find a job.  I know God has plans for an abundant life for me so I have trusted what He has put on my heart.
I received an email from the job I have been wanting for a couple of years now and will be doing an interview soon.  Need prayers for favor with the hiring officials.
My wife and I are working to be licensed to foster adopt.  Without secure employment I can't get a child out of the system and into a loving home. So please pray for that process too.

Prayers that all works out for you and your family on the way from Georgia.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

I'd like to echo Pronghorn's sentiments first to "thank you" for your service to each of us and the country!

Second, you have my prayers for your interview, and God's will to be clear in your path of career and serving as a foster parents.

Thank you for your prayers.  My interview has been scheduled 13 January at 730am.  I purchased a suit for the interview and am preparing.  A suit wasn't really in the budget but it's an investment so, after prayerful consideration, we made the purchase.  Your continued prayers are needed and appreciated. - Tim

Prayers continue.  Use the K.I.S.S. method..."keep it short and simple" when it comes to answers.  :)

Best wishes for God to guide your lips and you trust in His directions for what is best!

Tim,

From one retired soldier to another, thanks for your service.  Just a tip, its like a promotion board, go in like you know the information (confident) but not cocky.  Also do your best to take the Army talk out of it just translate it to normal English.  You are one of the few they are probably interviewing that has been managing people and property for years.

Good luck and you and the family are in my prayers.

Thank you for your prayers and support.  Tomorrow is it so I am going to bed now.  I am praying that I go in there under the boldness of the Holy Spirit who is fully confident but first in humility.  I'll let you know how it goes.

The interview seemed to go well this morning but I won't know anything for 3-4 weeks.  All the prayers have been a great comfort.  Thanks to all.

Glad to hear that you felt you did well in the interview. Thank you, Jesus!  :)

Only thought is to keep pluggin away looking under every rock for other opportunities.  I've had numerous good interviews, only to find later they have NOT filled the job with the market so "iffy."
