Unfortunately I have bad news. Good friend and bow collector Val Sorrentino of Wurtsboro,NY recently passed away unexpectedly. He passed away 10/28/2008. The bows you see on the auction site are just the tip of the iceberg from his personal collection. His 1st cousin Chris is selling them on behalf of Val's mourning mother.

It appears there was no living will or other document. I knew Val for over 20 years. Met him in 1985 and we had been good friends for many years swapping stories, bow tales and bows. He was an accomplished bowyer who made replica Kodiak better than anyone living or dead. He was a troubled soul full of passion and artistic talent. I will miss him incredibly.

Very sorry to hear to your friends passing.  My prayers are with you and Val's family.

Wow,I am sorry to hear that.I use to see Val at Denton Hill and occasionally get to talk to him.
Prayers up for the family during this tough and unexpected time.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Prayers for peace for his family and friends. Wish I were working to help consider some of the bows you describe to help out his Mom.

Keep the Son in your eyes, bro!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
