I have a MOAB longbow from Thunderstick Archery. This past weekend I purchased some 50-55 spine, ash shafts from Allegheny Mountain Arrow Woods. The gentleman I talked to said the 50-55#spine would work with my MOAB longbow,It has a fast flight string on it. Tonight after work I tried to do some bareshaft tuning. One of my arrows is cut to 271/2 and the other is 30". Both arrows striking target nock left. I stood back about 12 yds from target.I need some advice on what to try next. Thanks for the help. Is The bareshaft tuning really necessary or can I just paper tune? My draw length is 25".

How do you shoot? Are you getting a clean release is what I'm asking. Bare shafting is excellent so long as you have a good release.

I,m guessin you're underspined, put somethin behind the sideplate or tape something bout 1/8" thick over it and try em.That will make the arrow bend more, letting a more limber arrow work.....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

You bow is the equivalent of 56@28, (assuming you are a rightie) with a FF type string you might try 60-65 arrows then if they are stiff you can always leave them longer, or put on a heavier point. No need to paper tune my friend, the arrows you have will not work with that bow using an FF type string-as a last resort you could put on a B 50 string and try those arrows again.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I gave Thunderstick a call today and explained to Jim what my arrows were doing. He says the MOAB longbows like stiff arrows, he recommened 60-65 arrows for it. Bill at Allegheny Mountain Arrow Woods is gonna let me exchange my 50-55 for some 60-65 laminated birch I just have to make up the difference. How do you's like the laminated birch?
