Just rescued 7 Bear Mag Handle Takedowns out of a dumpster at work. They are all just 25# bows and show a lot of rough use. I was wondering if these bows have any value or if heavier limbs can be added to the bows?

Jack Shanks

Are they 76ers? They came in a number of colors. Fiberglass limbs that slid into a pocket.

I just looked, they are Bearcat Takedowns.

Jack Shanks

OK they would look like this then.

Yes that's what they look like except these have thin fiberglass limbs. I would like to post a picture but I'm not to good with computers. Just figured it would be a shame for these bows to go to the dump. a little banged up but still functional. I have 5 kids between 7 and 12 so they will get put to good use. When they are done with them I figured if they have no value I would donate them to the archery club.

Was the dumpster near Wade's house?

Cool find, those 5 youngsters will have arrows sticking out of everything in the neighborhood.

Middle bow!
Another version of the Bearcat takedown. Older Pic. Just ignore the others... This one is 40#, I understand on heavier lbs. the upper strap on the limb pocket was prone to breakage. Good find for those kids.   :)

Thanks guys for the info. I was just happy to give these bows a pass from going to the dump. They are in good hands now and I will see to it that go to an archery club when the kids are done with them.
