This is my Father in laws bow. He bought it new but not sure of the year. I'm confused but that doesn't take much. I thought they didn't make this style to 1966. But I've also read that they quite using leather handles is 61? He swears he bought it new with the leather handle.

That's a '65 Kodiak and the last year for leather grips to be standard on the Kodiak was 1960.

Yep a '65, and IMO one of the best shooters Bear ever built.

He musta special ordered it with the leather and the quiver insert.

That bow should be priceless to you, Sir!

Totally agree on everything you said 4runr.

I've seen a factory leather grip installed on a 68 super Kodiak!
Bear Archery was very accommodating if asked.
Great bow!

Well I knew I could count on you folks knowing. Thanks. He still proudly has the bow hanging on his wall. Said he's killed alot of deer with it and I have no doubt. He was a deer killing son of a gun in his day.  He's actually the one who sparked my interest in bow hunting in the early 70's. I remember him tagging bucks with a bow every year when I was a young whipper snapper and I was lucky to tag a buck with a gun.  He's 76 now and still bow hunts but with a "modern" bow now adays.

So when did they stop making that style bow quiver. Thanks again.

A great quiver with lots of use left in it.

What was the last year they made that style quiver?
