Does anyone here know if Fred Bear ever made the '62 Kodiaks with any fancy sight windows such as purpleheart or anything else?  Thanks!

Never saw one with any other type of wood in the sight window but Brazilian Rosewood, although I've seen quite a few of the 3-piece risers that have really wild grain in the center piece (which becomes the sight window), but have rather straight grained slabs on the outsides of the riser.

Thanks hayslope....Ive never seen anything else either but Ive only been looking for a few months...I know Bear did a lot of random things though so its hard to say for sure...

Anyone else know what years they made sight windows of different woods?  Ive seen 59, 60, & 61 but were there any more?  Thanks again...

I saw the serial number and thought that is a 1964 serial number then I saw the tips. Somebody just pulled out an old 1962 form and glued one up.

I guess you never know what you may find hiding out there somewhere....that is one very unique bow!
