A friend picked this nice old 1960 Grizzly up at an antique shop.

I bought a string for it and did some shooting today. I don't think I have ever shot a quieter bow of any type.

Neat old bow with a gorgeous Zebrawood I-Beam and some very tiny tips.

Thats a beauty. Yes, they are very quiet and really spit an arrow. In some ways they outshoot the Kodiak IMHO.
Congratulations!

I agree with V-B. One can make the case that the 62" Grizzly is a better shooter than the 60"-64" Kodiaks of the same years. I wonder why Bear didn't make a 62" Kodiak?

I'll leave that up to the experts. Maybe it is Bubinga:

Both the 59 and 60 Grizzly's are very nice shooting bows with narrow quick limbs and tips. They are easy to find in good weights and way more affordable then the Kodiaks!
Nice One.......
