Anyone tell me what the value of old Acme shafts would be.
Friend of mine just came up with several hundred Acme select shafts in original boxes and he is thinking about selling them.

Thanks

Spine and quantity and if they are premium, select, or mill run.
Put them on **** and you will find out.
Last ones I bought in the 80s were 10 cents each.

don kauss

they must be worth at least double that, nowadays!
 ;)
Your Chicken from McDonald's, Tyson Foods, or Perdue Farms spent most of it's life stuffed in a cage with three or four others, occupying a space about the size of a book page...None for me, thanks...

I recently bought 150 for 1.25 per shaft. They were 'selects' 11/32 and 70/75, and they were tapered too-they all will become arrows one day. Although I have a ton; I'm always in the market for more.

Nice shafts when they are all "dressed to kill"

Well when the lower quality of some cedar shafts going for $3.00 per shaft I would say that would be a good gauge for Acme premiums.
Yes , we were paying .25 cents a shaft back in the early 90s, but its not the early 90s and cedar quality is not what it used to be.
Your question really depends on the grade , premium, select or mill.

it may have been a "steal" but i recently bought 150 acme premiums for $50. and no they are not for sale.

Keep them!  I have hoarded about 300 of those Acme shafts, and they're much better that what's out there today.

A couple years ago I bought roughly 1000 acme shafts from the estate of a local archer.

I sent some of them off to be 10" tapered. They are the best shafts I've owned. Straight, tight grained and make real nice arrows.
