Hey all,

Pretty new member here just had to become a member when I saw the wealth of info the tradgang had!

I recently was given an old Howatt Diablo. It is 45# @ 28" and has the serial (I think) EDV 3639.58" (I have a heard time reading the print)
From tip to tip it measures 52.5 inches but the serial tells it is 58" (measuring the curves correct?)

Here are some pictures. Take a look and please if you have any information about it please share. Year, price originally sold for...you know all the good stuff. My grandparents gave it to me and I want to share the info with them.

I eventually want to restring it An awesome member her Fletcher said dacron B50 or B500 would be the appropriate material for a replacement string. I am curious about the length it needs to be. The one with the bow now is about 51.5" in length and has 14 strands.

I bought some wood polish, and some nice clothes. I have been taking the sight apart cleaning the parts and polishing it up. These pictures are before I had worked on it! I need a new rest/shelf rug, I will get to that soon.

I am super excited about this bow and not to mention it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thanks again!

Super wood in the Diablo, someone on here should be able to pin point the year. Trap makes awesome feather rest. Some Meguiar"s Cleaner Car wax does wonders on the limbs...Sweet Bow ...Roy

I'm guessing a 1963 from the serial number but other people more knowledgeable of the Howatts could tell you for sure.
