Ron - You should ask "sparklerman" if Paul was Fred's brother or his son?

This is almost as interesting as the Bear "BOBBLE HEAD" broadhead that was listed a few years ago...

I sent a request for clarification to the seller and have not received an answer.

Gotta wonder what the reserve is.  Only bow I know of that was made by Paul Bear.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Ron- Besides having an unknown brother named Paul, something else I just learned about Fred that I never knew was just stated in another auction.Check out the description of item #170749450737.It starts out by saying that Fred Bear made parts for airplanes during WWII and ended up with a bunch of extra aluminum he used in his bows like the Polar in the ad made around 1945-46.So much more to learn about Fred Bear and Bear Archery.

The more I learn the less I know I guess.

Lots of X-Perts on the Internet out there with information that most legitimate collectors and historians have never heard before...

There was a WWII plane called the Bearcat and Fred probably had something to do with building it, and thus the creation of the Bearcat bow followed. It is all making sense now.

Sometimes you just need a couple more pieces and the puzzle starts coming together.
Another good one I heard was that Fred got the tips of his fingers cut off his right hand by his sister when they were younger. They were playing a game to see if Fred could move his hand out of the way before she came down with the chopper doing some farm chore. That's why he shot left handed. Now there's a hoot.
